This surge protector is a great product and wonderfully convenient. We have nearly 100 different devices, toys, and other things in our home that charge by USB. Add to all of those products different things that charge with a traditional plug or just need to be plugged in and that number multiplies again. I’ve been looking for a quality product that mixed the two and provided some protection for quite a while and I’ve finally found it in this surge protector.
As always, be sure to read wattage on the things you’re going to plug in and make sure they’re compatible with this particular unit for your own safety.
This unit is constructed well, although they’ve made it very light weight. The light weight aspect also makes this unit perfect for travel if you bring multiple electronics with you and want to be sure that you’ll have the ability to charge them all, even simultaneously if you need to. It can support up to 4 different devices at the same time.
The power chord is 5 feet long, which is ample enough to allow anyone to find the correct spot for this great surge protector.
The maximum power output is 40W, and the ports are able to distribute charging speed accordingly to each of the devices plugged into the surge protector to make charging time more efficient.
Also remember that this is a surge protector and not just an extension cord or multi-outlet. They’ve placed an LED light just below the power button that will alert you when your devices are protected. The power button is another nice addition so you can choose to turn the unit off if it’s not in use to save on energy.
Overall, I’m very pleased with this surge protector and really can’t think of any cons to the pros I’ve listed above.
